Your Skipper - David Stiff.
David Stiff has been involved in the Cray fishing and charter industry since
1970 where he gained experience driving boats of all sizes in some of the most
hazardous conditions in Australia.
David purchased his first boat in 1973, and continued to operate in the
lucrative West Aust
rock lobster industry whilst conducting charters in the 4
months that make up the off season. He has also worked as a commercial diver
along the W.A. coastline where he was mainly involved in the salvage of commercial
vessels.
- Obtained coxswains ticket in 1973
- Started skippering boats in 1973
- Upgraded skippers ticket in 1980 to Master Class 5 Trading/Fishing
certificate
- Purchased first Cray fishing vessel in 1975 and has successfully continued
in the industry
David's experience travelling and working the WA coastline from Dampier in
Northern WA to Bunbury in the South West region, as well as spending extensive time
throughout the 122 islands in the Abrolhos region, makes him one of the best
guides and a most competent skipper. (All this and he's not a bad cook either!)
